What the historical record says
Healy anglicises two related Gaelic names, chiefly Ó hÉalaighthe, read as "descendant of the ingenious one," and in places Ó hÉilidhe. Two main septs bore it: the chief Ó hÉalaighthe of County Sligo, seated near Lough Arrow, and a strong Munster sept of the Healys of Donoughmore in County Cork. From these roots the name spread widely, and Healy is today common throughout Ireland, most densely in Cork and the south-west.
Recorded Gaelic root: Ó hÉalaighthe

What this evidence can—and cannot—prove
Census clustering can show where a surname appeared strongly at a historical point in time. It cannot identify your exact ancestor, prove a clan relationship, or assign a coat of arms. Use it as a source-backed starting point alongside family records and parish research.
